Science Countdown: 3 More Days
Good evening Sci Slugs!
We hope you have enjoyed the sun today as much as plants do. Here’s another taste of science.
Plants actually bend towards high concentrations of sunlight. They do this by elongating the cells of the stem on the side that is farthest from the light. This type of light-oriented growth is called phototropism.

Great stuff-. I had pleasure of meeting one of your bay area editors last yr. Now that I’m withdrawn from grad program in completely unrelated field maybe I could contribute a single editorial piece,. That is, if you include short writing works in your publications???
Hi. We’re sorry it’s been a over a year since you’ve made this comment and we never replied.
However, unfortunately, we only accept submissions from UCSC grads who graduated less than a year before we publish. So even if we’d seen this sooner you would not be eligible to contribute. Sorry!
